The advice of a professional stager is golden when selling your home

The success of home staging speaks for itself, with statistics overwhelmingly showing that 94.6 percent of homes staged by an Accredited Staging Professional® sell within 33 days. Compare this to an average of 196 days for homes that are not staged.

When I discuss staging with my sellers, I make it a point to tell them that the investment in staging their home will be far less than the first price reduction!

What is the difference between staging and decorating a home? Decorating is personalizing; it makes your home project your likes, style and personality. Staging is depersonalizing it so that it appeals to many potential buyers, regardless of your own personal taste. Staging is not about decorating your home; it’s about selling it!

Using accessories and furniture, a stager can focus on staging a large open area in a home that otherwise may be difficult to visualize by a potential buyer.

By carefully adding a dining table here and a sofa group there, together with select table arrangements, rugs, dishes, flowers and candle arrangements; a stager creates a welcoming atmosphere with just enough furniture and accessories to make crowded and sometimes stuffy areas feel airy and spacious.
